Does Give Lively support giving from international donors?
While Give Lively member nonprofits must be based in the United States, donors can give from abroad, depending on their payment method.
International donors can donate with:
- Credit/debit cards (our payment form’s "Card number" field automatically determines a card's billing address country and adjusts the rest of the requested information to accommodate postal codes of different lengths and numeric/alphanumeric codes, or even no code at all)
- Digital wallets (in countries that support Apple Pay and/or Google Pay)
- ACH/direct debit
- PayPal (in countries that support PayPal).
Only US-based donors are able to donate via Venmo.
Note that while Give Lively does not charge fees for any donations, third-party processors do and transaction fees on international donations are higher than domestic fees.
Text-to-Donate may also be possible through non-U.S. phones in some countries, but the short code can’t be used. Learn more about the international use of Text-to-Donate.
