An update to the Terms of Use for our platform

We updated our Terms of Use to add clarity about our donation disbursement practices, our refund policy and third-party fees.

Clear and transparent communication is a core pillar of Give Lively’s commitment to our members. So when we updated our Terms of Use, which govern utilization of our platform, we knew we needed to write an update that our member nonprofits would find so engaging – so thrilling – that they would desperately want to read the full document. We do encourage its review.

After coming to terms (pun intended) with the bitter truth that this is an unlikely goal, we settled for a short summary of the changes.

In particular, we made adjustments to the following sections:

  • Section 7: Updates clarify donation disbursement practices, including timeframes; and set practices when nonprofits are ineligible to receive disbursements.
  • Section 8: Updates clarify our donation refund policy.
  • Section 10: Updates add detail about the fees charged by third parties for their services.

A nonprofit’s continued use of Give Lively’s fundraising technology signifies acceptance of and agreement with the updated terms, effective March 4, 2025. 

Nonprofits that do not agree to our updated terms can contact our customer support team to deactivate their account.
